For people who visited Club Chemistry on March 5,6 and 7 are eligible for free medication at four temporary clinics.

People who live on the University of Kent campus at Canterbury and close household contacts of cases who have been identified by UK Health Security  Agency or who self-identify as having contact with a confirmed case are also eligible.

No booking is needed and you do not need to bring ID, but bring your NHS number if you have it.  A bottle of water is recommended.

16,000 students in the Canterbury area have already been contacted by the UK Health Security Agency and have been offered antibiotics on the University of Kent campus.

Antibiotic Clinic Details:

Senate Building, University of kent, CT2 7NZ  Open until 8pm tonight, last patient at 7.30pm and tomorrow from 8am to 8pm.

Gate Clinic, Kent and Canterbury Hospital, Ethelbert Road, Canterbury CT1 3NG  Open today until 8pm (last patient at 7.30pm and tomorrow from 8x30am)

Thanet community Health Hub, Northwood Road, Broadstairs CT10 2WA  Open tonight from 5-7pm and Tuesday 17 March from 8.30am to 8.30pm (last patient 7.30pm)

Westgate Hall, Westgate Hall Road, Canterbury, Kent CT1 2BT  from Tuesday 17 march from 8.30 am to 7.30 pm

IF YOU ARE EXPERIENCING SYMPTOMS OF MENINGITIS OR SEPTICAEMIA, PLEASE ATTEND YOUR NEAREST A & E DEPARTMENT IMMEDIATELY:

Symptoms:

A rash that does not fade when pressed with a glass

Sudden onset of high fever

Severe or worsening headache

Stiff neck

Vomiting and Diarrhoea

Joint or muscle pain

Sensitivity to bright lights

Very cold hands and feet

Seizures

Confusion or delirium

Extreme sleepiness or difficulty waking.
