TELEPHONE TRIAGE APPOINTMENT SYSTEM
HOW WILL IT WORK ?
If you ring to make an appointment with a doctor you will be put onto a telephone triage list for the doctor to call you back (unless it is possible to put you straight through). You won’t need to ring at 8:00 on the day to be sure of getting an appointment that day, as the system will operate all day long. You can ask for the doctor to call back around a particular time if you will not be able to take a call immediately. The doctor will call you back as soon as possible (or as close to the time requested), we aim for this to be within an hour but expect it to be much sooner than this. The doctor will then have a brief discussion with you about your reason for needing an appointment and will book an appointment for you that day if appropriate or for another day if necessary.

Convenience doesn’t stop there and you can now access a number of services online. Ordering a repeat prescription, sending us your comments and certain appointments are also just a click away. If you’re not yet registered with us you can download the necessary forms.
TELEPHONES: To help free up the telephone lines as much as possible:
1. If you are waiting for an appointment from the hospital following a referral please call the relevant department/ hospital for information, rather than the surgery. The outpatient's appointment line at K&C Hospital is 01227 868686.
2. Please remember that not all results will be sent back to the surgery unless the test was requested by your doctor, therefore if you were referred for the test by the consultant please call the appropriate secretary regarding results before contacting the surgery.

Every patient registered at Mocketts Wood Surgery now has a names allocated GP. Please contact the surgery to find out who this is or you may request a specific GP.

The Accessible Information Standard
The Accessible Information Standard is a new law to make sure that people with a disability, impairment or sensory loss are given the right information they can easily read or understand. At Mocketts Wood Surgery we want to make sure that we give you information that is clear to you. If you have a disability, impairment or sensory loss you will receive a letter asking you to let us know if you have any communication preferences.

We will share the results on our website and with our patient group and agree actions with them to address any issues that are raised.
TRAVEL VACCINATIONS CLINICS
When going abroad on holiday to exotic places it is essential that the right vaccinations are given to protect you. When booking an appointment for this clinic please can you let the receptionist know when and where you are going so that an appropriate appointment can be made for you to see the nurse, who will be able to advise you regarding protection. Where possible please try to book your travel vaccinations 6 - 8 weeks prior to travelling.
Please note the Surgery will be closed for staff half day training on the following dates in 2018:
